Mostly solid, minor speedbump

I switched to Gusto for their payroll and time tracking features. The integration with our existing accounting software was pretty seamless, which was a big plus. Running payroll was definitely easier than my old system. My only small gripe was during the initial setup of our 401k plans; it wasn't as intuitive as the rest of the platform, and I had to poke around a bit to get it right. Customer service eventually helped, but it could be clearer from the start. Overall, good value for the price.

Good for payroll, setup needs time

I signed up for Gusto's Full-service payroll and also added on the Health insurance administration for my small team. The setup process for payroll was fairly guided but still took a solid afternoon to get all the company and employee info loaded, bank accounts linked, and past payroll data migrated. I appreciated that they handled the automated tax filing; that's a big relief. The employee self-service portal works well, my team could easily access their paystubs and update their info. I did call support once about a specific state tax registration question, and the person I spoke with was knowledgeable and patient. Delivery isn't really a thing here, but everything worked as expected online. The HR expert advice option is an add-on, but the basic compliance alerts were helpful.

Reliable payroll every time

This is my third year with Gusto, primarily for their full-service payroll and W-2 generation. It's been consistently reliable. I used to manually handle contractor payments, but this time I tried their international contractor payments feature, and it worked without a hitch for our overseas team member. The platform's layout hasn't changed much, which is good; I don't have to relearn things. They keep things straightforward, which is why I stick with them.
